As we learn more about food and nutrition, it is very important that we look at the food that we eat every day.
Write down the food that you eat in ONE day. Write what you eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Make sure to also include your drinks.

For math we are learning about estimating when your in the real world for example:99+62= then you estimate to find the answer and some times we talk about money and the bujet project is really hard for me. for reading we talk alot about whales and we have a sheet that has two questions and four reasorses .for sience we are talking about the food pyrimid and al the types of foods that you should eat and how much you should eat every day. and I like mrs.bohnams idea of doing our own readers theater its really fun. bloger:Jefferson

About the class

Hello, I'm Priscilla.In Mrs Bonham's class sometimes in the morning we do cursive. Also in the morning we do morning meeting someone picks the greeting,someone does the fact and someone is also the author of the day. Today in math we did problem solving. In social studies we are doing a Native American project some people are doing Cherokee,Tuscarora and Catawba. As a class we are reading How to Steal a Dog. In reading we are learning how to predict with using only nonfiction text. We do independent reading after recess. In science we are doing food nurtion. I think that food nurtion is good to learn about. In class we are tring to earn drops so that we can earn prizes the prizes become bigger.

What Were Doing In School

What were doing in shcool is fun projects sience math and a lots stuff.We are started on cursuf hand writting and also we do reading fluince cards there is lots of things you can do in school.We started Soical Studies about a month ago talking about the Piedmont Mountains and the Coastal Plain and we had started a project on it already!In school you learn everything in school you will have p.e computer seince c.e library and library you can check out books seince you will learn about crystals gemstones and lots of cool thihngs.P.E you will just do fun things and run around and do stations and do hulahoops and jumpropes!In class we do reading senters and math senters in reading senters at the back table there CQ books when you are reading CQ books there are long paraghs that you half to read and get a note book and write about what you learned in the CQ book.and also Mrs.Bonham will pick you for reading and math senters and also in reading you go on the computers for study island reading only.We do morning meeting and Mrs.Bonham will pick any number like 1,2,3, and then she will pick a any like 23 and you can bring 1 cool thing from home!

One feild day we got to help k-2 for feild we also ate cookies. next we might do our feild day.Inschool we have our spelling test,math,andreading. every mornig we do mornig meeting,check home work,math.today we have a party bacause every time we pass our test avrige we have something specil. last week we did our math and reading our avirge were 87 for math 82 for reading.When we took our scine test have of our class din"t pass the test we have to take it over af ter that she gave our scores everybody pass the test we din't have no party. tract4 tract out for three weeks

when we hellped out with field day it was so cool . we all got help with parent's too . the station names are tag, bowling, art, foot soccer, hoops, and archery.

We have been working on a social studies project. We have to make a brochure that contains the three reigons and information about them!it is really fun and it is due next Tuesday.We have to have a introduction too.It has been very fun!We have been putting pictures in them and decorating them. math oh yeah .

In math we are doing factor tree for multiplications .a week ago a new student came to are class his name is nate . when he came he just came on and strated playing with use at recces .It seems that he is very smart he sits in my table across me. we are having pg day on friday when that is the last day of school.I am going to bring in soda and chips .on thruesday we are haveing like 4 test i think that i will pass those 4 test.

In science we have been studying rocks and minerals.Last week Ms.Bohnam split the class into 5 groups. Each group had 4 people in it. Each group had to be given a type of rock and they had to find infromation on there rock. The different types of rocks that we studyed were hornblende,florite, quartz, fieldspar, and mica.
Each person in the groups had a job.There is the locator, the power point,the property finder,and the rock detector.
On Friday all the groups did power point and presented there projects to the class.It was kind of scary talking infront of the class.It is so much fun to do science!

the rocks and minerals project is so cool . i think that the rocks and minerals project is easy and it's got the fun stuff .i It's also kinda hard too . i think that it wont take that long to finish at all . what my job on the rocks and minerals project is that im the minirals detective i write down notes i write down were it's found and are groups mineral is gypSUM .

This quarter we are learning about rocks and minerals. There are so many cool things about them.The types we are learning about are mica,hornblende,and gypsum.We have started doing a project on rocks and minerals.We learned that hornblende is magnetic, mica is pliable and looks like sheets of paper,gypsum is made out of cool lava.who new this it so cool.You may think what are rocks used for,they are used for glass,soda cans,and also for designs in your house too.Check out Miss Bonham blog at www.bonhambuch10.blog.com

stuff I like doing in school

The stuff I like doing in school is math is multiplying and i love subtracting in adding and the most thing i like doing is rounding. in science i love studying rocks and minerals. they are fun to study and measuring the rock with a ruler and we use something to weigh them and see which of one weighs the most and which of one ways less. We study the name of the rock and we made a chart of what color they were and what size they were. In reading we had a chart and see if we can read the story and a minute. the numbers on the sides means if you see the numbers on the side thats the score you need to tell the teacher what score you have and the techaer needs to know so she can give you the score that you read to and when she say stop and when she seas turn over on the back. You have a partner and you have to sit there and your partner has to ask you the qustion.Then next when the timer stops its the other person turn to read the card. You ask him the qustion and at the bottom of each sheet they have the answers. If you have diffrent cards you take there card and look on the back and check was right.in adding it is easy but some times you get mixed up with counting if you gone to count that number that you have .thats all I have to say for today thank you.but before, as i said, no cheating on testing.

In class we are learning about rocks shape,luster texter,color.And we are learning about rocks properties and how they get formed.We know they are made of minerals but what kind of minerals.And where they come form.We even now that a dimond is the hardest mineral in the world.So now we that calcite bubbles with vinger.And which mineral attracts to magnet. Rocks and minerals science project

OK fourth graders! I have fixed the science project and made it more user friendly. I have takens some from the old assignment and put it on the new one. Your jobs are the same, but your assignment is a little easier.

Several local geologists found out that we are studying Our Changing Earth and Rocks and Minerals and have asked for our help. They would like us to help them by becoming rocks and minerals detectives. Our job will be to collect clues about rocks and minerals that are used in our area and to share our findings with the community in the form of a multimedia presentation
Your group will use the Internet and other resources to collect clues about rocks and minerals and how they are used. You will gather multimedia information to share with the other members of your group. Your group will have a short debriefing session when you are finished with your search. As a group, you will be looking for the answers to these questions:
• What are minerals?
• What are the physical characteristics of your assigned mineral?
• Where is your assigned mineral found as a natural resource?
• How is your assigned mineral used once it is mined from the earth?
• What are the three different types of rocks and how are they formed?
• What type of rock is your assigned mineral associated with?
Use powerpoint to create a slide show with your information. You must include at least five slides, with pictures on each slide.
The Process

1. You will be assigned to groups of three. Each group member will hold one of these positions:
* Mineral Detective - This person will find out what a mineral is and the specific characteristics of your assigned mineral.
* Locator Detective - This person will find out what your assigned mineral is found in nature and how your assigned mineral is used once it is mined from the earth.
* Rock Detective - This person will find out what the three different types of rocks are and how they are formed.

2. Once you've decided who will complete each job, you will begin your detective work using the Internet and the library. You will need to go to the resource and read through the information presented, thinking about what you are reading. Make sure you think about your goals as a detective and what you need to find out about rocks and minerals.


3. You will need to save any information you want to use later in your folder on the computer. Remember to copy and paste text into a word processor if you would like to use it as a reference. And if you find an interesting picture, right click on the picture and "Save image as" into your folder on the computer. You may want to save the pictures on ONE person’s log in, so you have them all in one folder to do your presentation.
4. Use the images and the facts to create a slide show.
5. When your group has finished your slideshow, find someone you can present it to. Practice giving your presentation several times. Take suggestions from your practice partners and edit your slideshow as needed.

6. Finally, you will present the slideshow of your detective work to the rest of the class.

In math we are doing multiplication and divison. We have been doing multiplication and divison since the first day of school we also do it for homework. We also learn some stratagies of multiplication. I have fun doing multiplication and divison. In some of our math tic-tac-toe is some multiplication. Like we do multipication.com on the computer we get to games that invole multipcation. We do math in the morning after morning meeting. We are also taking our math test today. We are about done with multiplcation and divison.

In science we are learning about different types of rocks and minerals and how to find what kind of mineral it is. Like quartz was the hardest one that we had so we did a bunch of test on all of the minerals then we got our answer. I got to say Mrs.Bonham makes science alot of fun! Mrs.Bonham does science for fun friday we made oobleck "fun and very messy" and now we are are doing a project in the computer lab wich we have not really gotten started on yet "well at least my group hasn't "
